All ready for Christmas!

Well, the tree is up, the shopping is done!  All I have left to do is the baking, which I will do next week!  So far we have really enjoyed our new Fifth Wheel!  Lots of room, lots of storage!  The weather has been so great!!  Here is a picture of our home decorated for Christmas!

All Snug and Cozy!

Well, we finally got our skirting on Thursday!  We were so thankful for that, because we had our water lines freeze twice!!  Boy, does it ever make a difference with the skirting!!:)  We also got a small ceramic heater to put in the storage compartment.  We turn that on when it gets real cold at night.  It works like a charm!  We are now all snug and cozy for the coming winter.
We made another trip back to BC this weekend to pick up some more things.  I needed some more clothes (fancy for Christmas & New Years!), and I wanted to get my sewing machine and some other things.  Doug needed a few things from the garage, the snow shovel being one of them.  We will definitely be needing that this winter!!  The weather was great and the road conditions were perfect for the trip out and back.  Hopefully we have everything we need from the house because these quick overnight trips back are tiring!!
This week the weather is suppose to be good, not cold!!

Getting ready for winter!

We have a list of stuff to get to prepare our unit for winter!  We are still waiting for our insulated skirting from Kimbers Creations,  hopefully  we will get that soon!!  My brother sent me a list of things that should be done to have a comfy cozy winter experience.  He got a lot of information from guys who spend the winter in Fort MacMurray in their units.  He is going to be spending the winter in his fifth wheel in Fort Mac.  So, our weekend will be going to Home Depot to pick up all that we need, and prepare for winter.
The weather has been fantastic so far.  Today however it is snowing, but tomorrow it is suppose to warm up a gain.  Just in time for us to get things done.  Today the guy from Mobiltech is coming to install our sattelite dish Yhaaaaaaaa!  We can finally watch TV again.  We haven't watched tv for 2 months.  I have done a lot of reading and knitting!:)

Thanksgiving Weekend!

We pulled the fifth wheel to Shuswap Park for the Thanksgiving weekend!  The kids and grandkids came also.  The weather was not that good, it rained and was cool.  I did a turkey in the oven and Alyssa did a turkey in her oven.  We did a big spread and had a wonderful dinner!!  Larry came and saw our new trailer, also Donna stopped by to see it.
We sat around the fire one night, it was not raining!!  Doug and I had a very busy weekend as the purpose of the trip was to pick up stuff from the house that we needed.  All to soon the weekend was over.  Alyssa, our granddaughters and Doug and I spent the last night at Crazy Creek Campground. We wanted to have a soak in the hot pool.  It felt wonderful!  The evening was spent around the campfire.  All in all it was a fun weekend!!

Settled in our New Fifth Wheel

Well, we picked up our new fifth wheel on Saturday!  We were so excited, it is beautiful, everything I imagined!  We are all settled in Spring Hill RV Park.  I unpacked and had to buy some things we need till we go back to BC to pick up stuff at our house.
We are going to camp at Scotch Creek with our Kid's and grandkid's for the Thanksgiving weekend! We have a big turkey dinner planned and I am looking forward to it.  We will call some people who we worked with so they can come down and see our new home!  We will pick up the rest of our household items from our house on Saturday.  I have someone who will do house checks through the winter and will be giving her the key.
The weather looks good for the weekend so we can go see the salmon and enjoy the lake for the last time while the weather is co-operating!

October 2nd

Well, I can't believe the month of September is gone!!  We packed up this morning, hooked up the trailer and brought it back to our Daughter and Son-in-law's place.  We will be staying with them for the next 2 nights.  Saturday we leave to pick up our fifth wheel at Sweetgrass, Montana.  I am so excited!!!  The weather so far has been very nice, except the one big dump of snow we had.  Last night it snowed a little, and it got quite cold.  The weather is suppose to be great for the weekend! Saturday's temp. is suppose to be 20, great traveling weather!!
Our driver called us and told us he was leaving, now I can go on the website and track where he is. It is so cool to be able to do that.  We will stay overnight in Milk River at under 8 flags campground, then Sunday morning head to our winter spot in Spring Hill RV Park.  I am looking forward to being able to hang up my clothes and unpack!

The Four Letter word S....W!!

Yesterday was a beautiful warm day, 25C.  We went to church, after church our friends took us out for lunch.  We then came back to the campground to show them where we were staying.  We sat outside and had drink.  It was a pleasant day!

This morning I got up to a surprise, it is snowing.  Welcome to Alberta!!  Anything can happen!! Today I plan on doing laundry, then I will drive Doug to work in the afternoon.  I will then go to our daughters house to drop off the truck.  We are getting our out of province inspection and our fifth wheel hitch put on.  We will be switching vehicles with our son-in-law for a couple of days.  It has been a busy week, but I love it!!

Alberta Bound

Sept. 1, 2014

The day has finally arrived!!  My last day of work.  I worked the Sani-Dump from 8AM to noon,  got real busy at 11AM.  It was a mass exodus from the campground.

I said my goodbyes to my co-workers.  I really enjoyed getting to know this group of people!!  It was a fun summer, I could not have had a better job.  I got to work in the out doors!!:)  Doug came to the park to pick me up then we were on our way.  The highway was extremely busy!!  We got backed up in a hugh traffic jam (2hours) due to construction!!!!!  It took us 10 hours to get to Airdrie.  It was the worst trip ever!  We didn't get to Alyssa & Steve's till 11PM.  They had their trailer set up in the driveway, so we just put our stuff in the trailer.  We had a little visit then off to bed.  The next morning I emptied the coolers and put stuff in the fridge.  Got some organizing done then Doug hooked up the trailer.  We took off for Cochrane.  We stopped at where Doug will be working, he asked if it was possible to start tomorrow instead of today.  She said that would be OK.  Thank goodness, because of setting up and getting some groceries the time flew by. At least he can relax tonight and start his new job tomorrow!!:)

Alyssa, Steve and the girls are coming out tonight for dinner and a much needed glass of wine!;)  Looking forward to a relaxing evening!!

Aug. 27th

These last 2 days have been busy!  Cleaning house, packing, getting a fill on my prescription.  We went to Salmon Arm today on the Motor Bike to do a few last minute things.  I think things are under control:)

Sunday night we had a great time with Claude &Val, Jeff & Donna, and Jordan and her friend Steph at the Pub in Scotch Creek.   Doug & I won't be at the end of the year party for the Park, that is why we got together for dinner and drinks.

I can't believe this is the last week of work!  The summer has gone so fast!  I have enjoyed working at the Park this year, and meeting a great group of people!

Monday Sept. 1 we will be off to Alberta after I finish work!  We are both very excited about our next adventure!!

Monday 25 August 2014

August 25th, 2014

Getting very excited, I only have 1 week of work left then it is off to Alberta.  Doug starts his new job on September 2nd.  We pick up Steve & Alyssa's trailer and get set up in Cochrane at Bow Rivers Edge RV Park for the month of September.  The beginning of October we should be able to pick up our unit.  They are delivering it to the Sweetgrass, Montana border.  We pick it up then head to Spring Hill RV Park to set up for the winter.

I have 2 days to clean house, and pack up the stuff we need.  Hopefully I won't forget anything.  When we get our Fifth Wheel we will come back here to stock our unit with pots & pans, cutlery, dishes and the rest of our clothes, towels, sheets, etc.....

This is an exciting time for us!!!  Keep checking back for updates and pictures.
